NEWS - In an exciting development for researchers looking for faster tagging times for larger finfish over 35-40 cm in length such as tuna and salmon Hallprint have developed a new extra heavy duty T-Bar tag (type TBXH). These are made from extremely robust heavy duty nylon with our incredibly durable polyethylene markers and come in clips of 50 in sequential numbered order (scroll down to bottom of page or see under T-Bar tags)

NEWS - Hallprint can now supply our popular glue-on flexible polyethylene shellfish tags (Type FPN) in “twin” pack rolls to allow easy double tagging with identical tags and numbering. This is a valuable tool for population assessment of freshwater mussels and other shellfish. More information click here.

NEWS - Hallprint now exclusively supplies TissueGrab™ tissue samplers which are an exciting and newly designed product developed by Dr. Michael Musyl and Lianne McNaughton at TissueGrab Biopsy Systems in Hawaii, USA for efficiently collecting non-contaminated tissue samples from candidate species. A brochure explaining the technology and benefits is available (click here).

What is a Fish Tag?

Fish tags are used by research scientists and other organisations to assess and monitor life history aspects of fish, crustaceans and shellfish including studies on growth rates, movement patterns and mortality estimation.

Hallprint's range of external fish tags are exceptionally long-lasting individual identification marks suited to the harsh marine environment and available in a huge range of colours and sizes.  Many of these tag types can now be custom printed and/or fitted with radio frequency identification (RFID) or PIT tag modules.
